Laborate Pharma’ Himachal facility obtains EU-GMP certification
The Himachal based facility is built for Oral Solids-tablets, capsules and the company is currently negotiating advanced discussions with clients in Europe and UK for the co-development and supply of finished formulations.
New Delhi: Haryana-based Laborate Pharmaceuticals, Paonta Sahib-based manufacturing site has obtained the European Union - Good Manufacturing Practice (EU-GMP) certification from the relevant European regulatory agency.
The Himachal based facility is built for Oral Solids-tablets, capsules and the drugmaker is currently negotiating advanced discussions with clients in Europe and UK for the co-development and supply of finished formulations, the release stated.
The company intends to file 20 dossiers over the next 5 months to obtain approvals in Europe, UK, Australia and South Africa, it added.
According to the company, these agreements will play a key role in Laborate’s international strategy , pipeline expansion over the next 5 years.
"This EU-GMP certification provides a clear pathway to our focus on world-class standards of quality and manufacturing to take an unprecedented step to be recognised as the EU-GMP accredited pharmaceutical organisation," said Parag Bhatia, Director, Laborate Pharmaceuticals.
Besides this approval the company is also exploring additional certifications from other eastern european national regulatory authorities including Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Eurasian Economic Union, (EAEU) to enhance its presence in other markets.
